Manav is pleased to announce that its MANAV LP 60 ESE has been fully and sequentially Type Tested in accordance with NFC 17-102 at an ILAC MRA and ENAC-accredited laboratory (ITE- Spain). This milestone certification confirms the product’s compliance with internationally recognized standards for performance, durability, and safety in lightning protection systems.

The sequential Type Testing was conducted as specified in NFC 17-102, which mandates that a single Early Streamer Emission air terminal undergo a defined series of tests in a prescribed order. These tests evaluate the mechanical integrity, environmental resilience, electrical endurance, and performance reliability of the ESE air terminal under simulated real-world conditions.

The MANAV LP 60 ESE successfully passed all required test stages, including general verification, documentation and identification checks, mechanical testing, environmental conditioning such as salt mist and a humid, sulphurous atmosphere, current withstanding capability, and Early Streamer Emission performance. During the Early Streamer Emission test, the device recorded a measured emission time of 62.3 microseconds, confirming compliance with the performance criteria defined in the standard.

Clause C.3 Type Test requirements

All tests were carried out on a single sample following the mandatory sequential flow, ensuring the integrity and validity of the certification process. This sequential testing approach ensures the product maintains consistent performance across all stages of mechanical, environmental, and electrical stress.

The tests shall be carried out on a sample according to the flowchart
